The Honorary Doctorate is a professional recognition that provides an independent quality assurance reference for highly qualified professionals from all fields, for those who strive for personal excellence, and who become a motivating example in their communities. An Honorary Doctorate is not an academic degree, consequently the usual academic requirements of a doctorate are waived. The Honorary Doctorate is an honorary degree that may be considered to have the same standing, and to grant the same privileges and style of address as the Doctor Honoris Causa. In practice, however, such degrees tend to be popularly considered not to be of the same standing as academic doctorates, except where the recipient has demonstrated an appropriate level of academic scholarship.
Recipients of an honorary doctorate may if they wish to adopt the title of “doctor”. In many countries, , it is now a matter of personal preference should an honorary doctor use the formal title of “doctor”, regardless of the background circumstances for the award. The recipient of an honorary degree should always be made clear that the degree is honorary. The one participating in honorary should follow the guideline and fill the application form along with the donation to the iiHSR Foundation is the highest award given to an individual who has achieved a mark in the field of humanity and social cause The Honorary is a symbol of honor it is not a formal degree but an award where can add DR with the name and this name can be added in letter pad visiting card and name board.development. .
Honorary degrees recognize those who have made profound and enduring contributions to scholarship, culture, and improved quality of life in society at large. Achievements of national or international significance deserve priority consideration. It is important that recipients be persons of great integrity, as the choices we make reflect our values as an institution. The Honorary Doctorate Degree is awarded solely for the accomplishments and contributions that a person has made.Strategic Growth Leaders iiHSR Foundation, announces the opportunity to receive recommendations and nominations of persons p and business who deserve the special recognition and honor of receiving the Honorary Doctorate Degree. Each applicant must meet the criteria established by the Foundation which will also be based upon the evaluation of information provided about the applicant
An honorary degree may be awarded to an individual for outstanding contributions in one or more of the following areas:
PRESENCE AT COMMENCEMENT
No honorary degree will be conferred unless the recipient is present in person or virtually. If a recipient is unable to attend the ceremony in-Person or virtually, the certificate of the degree can be send via mail or post.
In recognition of iiHSR’s commitment to gender equality and social, economic, national, racial, and cultural diversity, the Board of committeecommittee is committed to the award of honorary degrees to recipients who reflect the diversity of interests, backgrounds, and concerns reflected in the University community, the society, and world served by the University.
There are circumstances in which the Honorary Award may be withdrawn by the Foundation. These are where:
Should it become known publicly or otherwise that the degree recipient no longer represents the purpose and mission of Foundation or is found to have serious integrity issues, iihsr may withdraw the Honorary Degree. Any proposal to withdraw the honorary status must be agreed by the Honorary Awards Committee prior to it being communicated to the individual concerned.
Nomination Requirements
Please include the following items in the nomination package:
A cover page (Nomination summary) listing the primary contact person for the nomination, including address, phone number, email and a list of supporting materials included in the nomination package;
A letter of nomination setting forth the nominee's qualifications relative to the principles stated above;
Curriculum Vitae or Bio/professional resume or summary;
A minimum of two letters of support in addition to the primary letter of nomination; (Biographical information for the nominee)
Optional additional information which the nominator deems appropriate.
A complete nomination package is required for the nomination to be considered by the University Joint Committee on Honorary Degrees. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
Nominations must be uploaded as pdf (reduced-size file, if necessary) attached below
Nomination summary: 250 words or less, restricted to outlining the nominee's accomplishments, excluding degrees and appointments. Should your nominee be granted an honorary degree, the nomination summary you provide will be used to draft the official citation given to the nominee
Outstanding accomplishments: one-page summary highlighting the individual's accomplishments.
Biographical information for the nominee: not to exceed five pages and to include current mailing address, email address, and telephone number, date and place of birth, education, employment, membership in professional societies, honors and awards, professional and public service, consulting activities, etc. Must contain full biographical information on the nominee and document in detail the particular achievements that are the basis for the award.
Selected publications of nominee (if applicable): not to exceed five pages (if not applicable, five more pages are allowed for biographical information).

CONFIDENTIALITY
During the nomination process, no disclosure is to be made to the nominee or others. Efforts will be made to maintain confidentiality with respect to the nomination process, consistent with applicable law.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Honors Committee may reject a nomination either for lack of merit or for lack of adequate documentation. In the latter case the nomination may be revised and re-submitted.
